March 1 and 2, 2024 are the dates to lock in for Te Ipukarea. In 2024 the event will be hosted by Te Ātiawa o Te Waka-a-Māui in Waikawa.

For those members who might not know about Te Ipukarea (aka pā wars), it’s the annual sporting event for the eight iwi of Te Tauihu o te Waka-a-Māui.

It is an awesome opportunity for our whānau − pēpi, tamariki, rangatahi, pakeke and kaumātua − to celebrate Te Tauihutanga through sports.

If you have never joined us at Te Ipukarea before, all the more reason to lock in those dates and make the trip to Waikawa.

Keep an eye out for more information and have a think about whether you can play and/or support us both in the lead up and on the day.
