Civil Defence training in Waimeha
Help grow iwi capacity with Civil Defence Training in association with Te Kotahi Te Hoe charitable trust.

For the last couple of years many rohe across Aotearoa have experienced an increase in the number of extreme weather events, Te Tauihu included.
Civil Defence Centres, when activated, provide an emergency safe place for shelter, and support. Volunteers are critical to this mahi; individuals who can cope with a rapidly changing environment, respect diversity in backgrounds and cultures.
Due to the nature of work involved with Civil Defence, volunteers must undergo police vetting.
Te Kotahi o Te Tauihu Charitable Trust are working on growing Iwi capacity in the Emergency Management space for further whanau preparedness in case of an emergency, keep an eye out as there will be other opportunities and trainings.
