Te Tauihu Kapa Haka 'heartfelt aroha and connection'
We are so proud of the Te Tauihu Kapa ā Rohe, who stood strong and represented Ngā Iwi e Waru o Te Tauihu o te Waka-a-Māui at this year’s Koroneihana.

Te Tauihu kaihaka carried the wairua and kotahitanga of our rohe in Waikato, showcasing the strength of our whanaungatanga and the depth of talent across Te Tauihu.
Every waiata, haka and karanga was not only a performance, but a heartfelt expression of aroha and connection to our people – past, present, and to Te Arikinui Kuini Nga wai hono i te po.
Many of the 65 kaihaka who performed shared their pride and thankfulness at being able to take part in such a significant event.
One whānau member summed it up when they said they felt “extremely proud to be representing Te Tauihu and standing with our whānui.”
“These moments of connection to our Arikinui remain deeply meaningful to me, and I carry the mana of this experience with profound gratitude – kua kī katoa te ngākau!”
Ngā mihi nui to everyone who stood, and to the ohu whakahaere who prepared and taught the kaihaka.
