Waka ama to welcome Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

A waka ama race will be held on 12 September 2026 at Tāhunanui Beach to celebrate the start of Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2026.
The race will be led by the Whakatū Marae Waka Ama Club and co-sponsored by Port Nelson and Nelson Airport.
