Welcoming Kaihonoa Taiao at Ōmaka Marae
Pōwhiri at Ōmaka Marae for Te Tauihu cadets.
We were delighted to participate in the pōwhiri for Te Pū Hono Cadetship Programme at Ōmaka Marae yesterday.
Ngā iwi o Te Tauihu and Te Papa Atawhai (the Department of Conservation) welcomed a new cohort of Kaihonoa Taiao (cadets) who will be working in Te Tauihu.
This is part of a new Te Papa Atawhai programme designed to strengthen cultural capability, matauranga Māori and operational leadership with Te Papa Atawhai / DOC.
