The group meets regularly for whakawhanaungatanga, manaaki, kai, and a bit of a chat in different settings.
Last week a roopu of kaumatua from Wairau, Motueka and Whakatū travelled to the Havelock Hotel for kai and whakawhanaungatanga.
There was a choice of freshly battered snapper, or roast pork with roast and steamed veges, or a beef salad with ginger, coriander and chili. And yes, there was sticky date pudding for afters!
Special mention to our Ngāti Rārua whanaunga Debbie O'Connell and her team for the delicious kai and manaakitanga, we all left with very full puku!
