Raranga, whanaungatanga at Tauwhiro
A couple of weeks ago Tauwhiro hosted a World Social Workers' Day Professional Development celebration.
The theme for this year, ‘Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society’, highlights the vital role of social work in bringing people together across communities, cultures, and systems to shape a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow.
The kaupapa was to strengthen our bi-cultural practice and whanaungatanga - an opportunity for our local Social Work community to strengthen their networks.
They were lucky enough to have Haylee Roussel in to teach Raranga, enabling everyone to make some beautiful puti puti out of harakeke. Ngā mihi nui Haylee.
