Rangatahi mā - there's still time to make your mark on Blenheim’s newest subdivision! Competition closes 1 December.

Waikāpari is a new subdivision in Blenheim, including new homes and a reserve on Hospital Road, and rangatahi artwork will to bring the site to life. Your designs will be enlarged and printed on the construction hoardings around the reserve and be seen by many people every day.

Major bragging rights, Prezzy card, a winner’s certificate, and your mahi on display for the whole town to see!

Competition Theme

Waikārapi (Wairau Lagoons) – our natural resources. Show us your vision of how our natural resources have and continue to sustain our communities.

How to Enter

Open to all rangatahi
Create your artwork on A3 paper (hand-drawn or digital)
You may submit more than one entry
Deadline: Monday, 1 December 2025
Hand-drawn entries can be dropped off to either;
- Level 5, 2 Main Street - Rangitāne House or
- Te Whare Tokomaru, 65 Scott Street, Blenheim – at Tauwhiro café or reception

What Happens Next

Entries judged by iwi and project representatives
Winning artworks will be enlarged and printed on the hoardings around the new reserve at Waikārapi
Winners recognised with certificates and a Prezzy card
