Whānau Day out at Rākauroa

Ngāti Rārua, Te Ātiawa and Ngāti Tama, alongside Tourism NZ & Piki Studios invite you for a fun whānau day out at Rākauroa!

Join us for a fun day to celebrate the recent Minecraft Aotearoa game! Hear from Whetu Paitai, the game’s developer, about Māori game development and experience how Rākauroa was recreated in Minecraft. Plus connect with your whānau and whenua in the real life Rākauroa! Transport from Kaiteretere to Anchorage and back will be provided, alongside a yummy kai. (you must find your own way to Kaiteriteri before 8.45am).

Key Information:

• When: Sunday 11 May 2025
• Where: Rākauroa (Anchorage, Abel Tasman National Park)
• Meet in Kaiteretere at 8:45am
• Arrive back in Kaiteretere 4pm

This is a Tamariki/Rangatahi kaupapa, and they must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver, this is due to health and safety and is a must.
