Hāpai Ake manaaki for Pencil Pals

As part of their Hāpai Ake mahi, rangatahi undertake a manaaki activity. Recently a group decided to host a Pencil Pals drawing and sketching group at Tauwhiro.

Together they worked to decorate and set up the cafe, plated up kai in the kitchen and served the attendees. 

They did an amazing job, and it was awesome to watch them interact with the kaumatua  - you saw them come out of their shells and their confidence grow

A wonderful day had by all!
