Notice of Hui of Owners - Proposed Maori Land Trust - Aorere Pa
A hui of owners will be held to discuss the proposed establishment of a Maori land trust over the following whenua:
Land at the Collingwood Camping ground, known as Reserve A, Aorere, Square 15.
The original owners granted the land in 1866 are lnia Te Hunahuna, Tamati Pirimona Marino and Mera Rewa.
A meeting of descendants is called for 10.30am at Te Awhina Marae o Motueka, 133 Pa Street, Motueka on 22 August 2026, there will also be online access to this meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to make decisions on:
- whether to establish an Ahu Whenua Trust for the land;
- the proposed name of the trust;
- the proposed terms of the trust order;
- the nomination and consent of proposed trustees; and
- any other matters relevant to the proposed trust.

On enquiry you will be provided a copy of the proposed Trust Deed and information on the proposed initial trustees along with the opportunity to nominate further proposed trustees.
