Celebrate Matariki 2022
Will you join us this Rāhoroi as we add to the Ngāti Rārua history books?
We’re observing Matariki kanohi te kanohi with our Umu Kohukohu event in Wairau and we’d love to share it with heaps of our whānau this Saturday 25 June.

Please remember to bring warm clothes, jacket, beanie, gumboots, torch and sadly, maybe an umbrella as we’ll be celebrating if it rains so long as its safe to do so. Our plan:
- 5.45am: Meet at Parerārua Marae to catch vans or join a convoy that will hands down beat Google Maps :-)
- 6.15am: Meet roadside at 44 Rārangi Beach Road
- 6.30am: Ceremony begins
- 7.00am: Ceremony ends
- 7.30am: Breakfast at Parerārua Marae
- In case of rain the ceremony will take place under marquees at Parerārua Marae.
