    Events for Kaumātua and Tāngata Whaikaha in Wairau

    A newly-introduced Te Hauora Ngāti Rārua programme for Kaumātua and Tāngata Whaikaha to provide meaningful activities to enrich overall wellbeing will start in March.

    From big festivals to morning tea and tai chi, there’s heaps on offer.

    Marlborough Multicultural Festival

    • Churchill Glade, Pollard Park, 55 Parker Street
    • Saturday 9 March. 11am - 3.30pm

    Celebrate our rich & diverse community. Enjoy delicious ethnic foods, lovely dancing and the rich variety of cultures that call Marlborough home.

    Tai Chi with Maree – Free admission

    • Wednesdays: 10.30 - 11.30am, starting 13 March.
    • Brooklyn Croquet Club: 15 Brooklyn Drive
    • All welcome. Disability access.

    Tai Chi is a mind/body exercise. Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes. Bare feet are also fine. A bottle of water is recommended. A sense of humour and an open mind are also great attributes to carry with you!
