    Te Ipukarea information

    Kia ora koutou e te whānau,

    Te Ipukarea is approaching us fast and we want to make sure we are prepared! To help us do that here are some details to know: 

    Pōwhiri:

    For those of us that are wanting to attend the pōwhiri on Friday (not a requirement unless you are waewae tapu) we will meet at Waikawa Marae at 10:00am to gather & organize ourselves.

    Information/Site Plan/Rules

    Schedule

    Accommodation:

    Whānau that are staying at Hauhunga Marae (email if unsure) if you are waewae tapu please let me know asap so that we can arrange a whakatau for you and your whānau.

    Transport:

    Whānau that are travelling in the vans from Motueka, we are aiming to leave Te Āwhina Marae Friday morning at 7:00am to make it in time for the pōwhiri @ 10:30am at Waikawa Marae. If you are needing transport, please let me know asap as there are limited spaces left. You can also get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Kai:

    We will provide lunch/dinner on Friday, lunch on Saturday and Te Atiawa are providing Hakari Saturday night. Whānau will have to have manage their own breakfast on Friday/Saturday.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

    • Hat & Sunblock 
    • Water Bottle (We will have water containers at our tent for whānau to refill their water bottles)
    • Appropriate clothes & shoes (Singlet will be provided)
    • Blankets/Pillows/Towels if staying at Hauhunga Marae (Email if you are not sure where you are staying)
    • Camping chair if you want to sit
